Happy Holidays….!!!

This year Thanksgiving brought about a whole new meaning for my family. Having my daughter away at college for the first time was a major paradigm shift for me to say the least. For years now, I’ve listened to friends talk about the arrival of their children’s holiday visits from school with great anticipation. Now, I totally understand the anxiousness of  it all. However, seeing her sweet face gave me a profound amount of peace!:)  I spent the week running errands, cooking, preparing for the holiday and reflecting over the year. I’ve made an executive decision to try my best not to complain about anything and to be more introspective. It can be pretty easy to slip into a negative pattern of complaining and worrying about the most minute thing. But I’ve decided that "In all things (I will) give thanks” (1st Thes 5:18); my goal and scripture for the upcoming New Year!:)  On Thanksgiving day, I wore this jumpsuit that I picked up earlier this Fall, wrapped a plaid shirt around my waist and brown booties to spend the day with my family! I love how comfortable and easy this jumper was ; perfect holiday attire!:)

What I’m wearing: Jumpsuit : F21 (No longer available) | Plaid Shirt: F21 ( Similar Here ) | Booties : Dolce Vita (Old) | Gucci Bag : (Old) | Glasses: Ray-bans

I pray that you had a wonderful Thanksgiving and remember, “In all things give thanks”.
Much Love from Sharmana and Kennedy!:)

Believe it or not jeans are my least favorite piece of clothing to wear. I usually avoid them at all cost ; I’m definitely a dress/skirt kind of girl. However, don’t ask me how many pairs I own!;) Over the last few years, I’ve accumulated several pair of boyfriend jeans. I just love how versatile, comfortable and chic they are; making it easier to dress them up or down. Now that the weather is cooler (colder) ; I’ve been reaching for comfy pieces to cover my legs. So, I paired these boyfriend jeans with this long cardigan, crop top and leopard wedges for a neutral look to spend the day with my daughter. She’s home from college for Thanksgiving Break and I'm Super Grateful and Elated)!:) Since, the weather was nice enough to go without a coat, this cardigan was perfect. I rushed from yoga to pick her up from the airport then we had lunch, did a little shopping and spent some much needed mommy/ daughter time!:)

What I’m wearing: Cardigan: BCBG Max azria  | Boyfriend Jeans: American Eagle | Crop Top: American Apparel | Wedge Booties: Sam Edelman (Similar Here)  | Gucci Bag: Old

Happy Holidays……Much love, Sharmana and Kennedy!:)

Hi Lovelies, I wore this denim shirt dress and poncho combo to spend the day with my husband. We decided to shoot inside since the rain wouldn’t stop. I paired these bourbon colored fold over boots with the whole ensemble for a contemporary/ fashion forward look. Now, lets talk about these fold over boots for a moment. You guys know the extremely popular Givenchy fold over boots that’s everywhere right now?! Yes those boots!! I had been obsessing over them for quite sometime,  until I saw my friend/blogger YoursTrulyDana wear a similar pair in black. I felt like…Wow, if this fashion icon could wear a similar pair-- than it would certainly be fine for me to wear a similar pair as well. So, I went on a virtual hunt for a pair in another color other than black and found these bourbon colored ones by happenstance for an amazing price. This outfit was perfect for the day because the weather was unseasonably warm and this poncho that I bought offline last year from F21 offered the perfect amount of warmth.

What I’m wearing: Denim Shirt Dress: F21 ( no longer available) | Poncho: Old | BCBG Boots: Here | Alexander Wang: Rocco Bag

Thanks For Stopping By…I pray you have a Happy Thanksgiving filled with family and love!

I wore this leather pencil skirt last night on a dinner date with my husband to celebrate our anniversary. I picked it up a couple of years ago while thrifting. I don’t know why I’ve waited so long to wear it; honestly I guess I forgot about it. I had first planned on a regular pencil skirt until I saw this leather skirt hanging in my closet. I paired it with: a black crop top, black leather booties, a light weight fuzzy faux fur coat and carried a sequin clutch to accent my whole look. We ate dinner at Strano in the Cooper Young District. Strano offered the perfect quiet, romantic, ambiance for the night. We sat at a table for two by the window with the backdrop of the city behind us. We both agreed that It felt like we were in NYC’s Little Italy in the Fall…Simply Divine!:)

What I’m wearing: Leather Skirt: Thrifted | Crop top: Zara (Old)  | Booties: INC (Old) | Sequin Clutch: Anthropologie (Old) | White Fuzzy Fur : Similar Here
