Dee and Mana Mane..!

I wanted to share another holiday look that would be great for tonight or any other party.  Now, I love sparkly, shiny, and lace like most girls. This ensemble offers a little of all of that!:) I wore this outfit to my friend Dee’s engagement party a couple of months ago and completely forgot to share the deets with you guys. What better day to share the details on this outfit than NYE, since she got engaged in 2014 and will be getting married in 2015. Many asked was this a two piece or a one piece?!  This indeed is a two piece: lace blouse and ponte skater skirt ( which I love)! This outfit can be remixed many ways and I’m sure that I will wear it differently one day. The same lace blouse will look good with: high-waisted disco pants, a pencil skirt, high-waisted wide leg trousers or tapered ones! Or, you can simply recreate this same look; I’d be honored!:))

What I’m wearing: Black Blouse: Found in my closet | Bralett: The Gap | Ponte Skater Skirt: Forever 21| Shoes: Valentino | Hot Pink Sequin Clutch: Target

So, I had planned to share a few holiday looks before New Year’s Eve that would be great for hanging out with friends, family get togethers, holiday parties or a night out on the town. However, time has really gotten away from me. Lets see what I can come up with over the next few days!:) Here is a look that can be worn for any of the above that I mentioned!

What I’m wearing: Turtleneck Sweater: F21 (old) | Sequin Skirt: Zara (last year) | Over The Knee Socks: Urban Outfitters | Taupe Boots: Jessica Simpson (Old)

Thanks for Stopping By:  Love Sharmana

This Christmas was one of the most laid back Christmases that I have had in a very long time. Of course I was up before anyone else, so I decided to go for a short run. After running I came in  and took a shower, threw on my pjs and made me a hot cup of tea. By that time my Ken was up and ready to open gifts. Once we finished opening gifts (my fav!!) , we all sat down to eat a little breakfast before lunch. I wasn’t expecting any guest this year ; I didn’t really feel like hosting nor going anywhere. Do you guys feel like that sometimes?!  I just wanted to stay in all day with my pjs on ( something that I rarely ever do) and be lazy! Ken and I both kept saying that it didn’t really feel like Christmas ( the dreary weather garnered the mood, I guess)!  I do believe that it also has something to do with getting older  which means that it is time to create new traditions:)!  I’ll work on that in the coming year!:)) Anyway, I had to keep reminding myself, regardless of my feelings or the weather, this day is a day that has been set aside to celebrate Christ’s birth and thats all that matters!:))

A little later we decided to shoot in my Christmas Sweater and comfy jogger shorts.

What I’m wearing: Christmas Sweater: The Gap (Optional Color Here) | Pom Beanie: Target Kids | Booties: BCBG Generation| Jogger Shorts: Urban Outfitters

I pray that you had a wonderful Christmas. Love Sharmana!:)

My favorite thing to listen to while driving, is talk radio. I mainly listen to WCRV (640 AM in my neck of the woods) however, I do listen to other stations and podcasts. As, I was listening to one of my favorite pastors yesterday; I was reminded of the TRUE meaning of Christmas. Yes, I know what the true meaning of Christmas is but I can’t say that I always live it. My first love language is receiving gifts--like to give them and lovvveee to receive them. With that being said, I sometimes get lost in the commercialism of it all. Anyway, I know that the Lord was pulling on my heartstrings while listening to that message yesterday. Ya see, God has a way of reminding us of what’s most important at the right time. I thought WOW! God you know how to get my attention!:)  He reminded me that, although my first love language is the receiving of gifts, He gave the world a precious gift that will never stop giving (His Son…Jesus). No material thing can ever compare to that!:)

I wore this ensemble to do a little Christmas Shopping with my hubs this past Sunday.

What I’m wearing: Denim Shirt: The Gap (Old) | Distressed Jeans : F21 (Old) | Navy  Floppy Wool Hat : F21 ( Picked it up this past summer ) | Plaid Wool Jacket: The Gap ( Last Year) | Grey Boots: Enzo: (Old) | Shades and Bag: Marc Jacobs

Happy Birthday Jesus: Merry Christmas Eve….Love Sharmana and Terry!:))

This past Saturday I spent the day shopping and hanging out with my friend Quita. We hit up some of  our favorite stores and had a great time laughing and catching up. It was a much needed break from the humdrum of life (so refreshing)!!:)) Coincidentally we were dressed pretty similar. She wore a sweater poncho and leggings and I wore this cape with leggings ( I added a dash of sparkly with this sequin beret)!! Before closing out the evening, we headed on over to Target to pick up some last minute  things. While shopping we decided that the store’s holiday festiveness offered the perfect backdrop for a shoot. Who doesn’t love Target ?!:))

What I’m wearing: Hooded Cape: Here | Leggings: American Apparel | Moto Booties: Urban Outfitters | Sequin Beret: Here | Handbag: TB

"I wish you a Merry Christmas, I wish you a Merry Christmas, I wish you a Merry Christmas

Sharing a few of My Favorite Holiday Things and gift ideas have been one of the best parts of this holiday season for me. YoursTrulyDana and I have reached the end of our holiday give aways and our last give away is a warm scarf. Scarves are the essential staple accessory that everyone must have in  their wardrobe. I picked up this plaid blanket scarf from Zara at the beginning of the season. Blanket Scarves can offer the same versatility of  ponchos, capes and wraps. The flexibility of this piece can not me denied! Make sure you pick up one today!:))
