Growing up, I was surrounded by African culture, since my pastor/spiritual father of 30 years is from Uganda, Africa. His native language and African Fashions were always of great interest to me. I even learned several songs in Swahili that I can still sing today!:)
So,when my girl Tangie contacted me to write a post about her new, handmade, African Inspired Clothing line:"Tanganika By Tangie”. I quickly obliged. I’m so excited for Tangie and her thriving clothing line. She has truly reignited my love of sewing and African Culture. Not to mention how inspiring and beautiful all of her styles are. I can’t wait to wear my other pieces!:)

In light of all of the recent and on going violence that has been taking place in our country. I just want to say that I’m truly proud of my culture and who God has created me to be. No one should ever have to apologize for who they are or punished because of the color of their skin.
Please be mindful of this scripture, 1st John 4:18-There is no fear in love.
But perfect love drives out fear. Because fear has to do with punishment.
The one who fears is not made perfect in love. 1st John 4:18
The solution is love.
It’s important for us to pray, be peaceful, protest and be proactive in every area of our lives.
Love you all, Sharmana and please
